Well, it seems that Blizzard has finally made their announcement. I thought for sure that they’d wait until Blizzcon to drop the release date for Cataclysm. I’m really not sure just how their marketing department works. Usually, if a company hosts its own con, they use it as a platform for some serious chest thumping. Not Blizzard, though. I’m sure there will be news and all sorts of fun stuff (this just in: Blizzard has tapped Tenacious D for a concert at Blizzcon. Get your Jack Black goodness on 10/22 and 10/23), but the news may be a little on the skimpy side. I figure they won’t want to steal the thunder from Diablo 3. Here’s hoping for big news on that front! Nothing like a free almost-MMO to bide your time with.

They know what they’re doing, I guess. After all, Blizzard isn’t in the habit of failing. And if they don’t want to overhype the thing, they won’t do it. It’s not like it’s hurt them in the past.

Anyway, it looks like we get Apocalipsized… Apocalipticated…. Apocalipsim… never mind. Cataclysm is coming out on December 7th, so mark your calendars and synchronize your watches. That’s when we get the update and the world gets pulverized.

With that in mind, I think it’s time that we all get out there and buy wow gold You’ll really want to be sure they aren’t including some uber gold buying death ray with the expansion, so you’ll be best to stock up now just in case. Also, even if the code doesn’t specifically prevent it, you know the GMs will be on high alert. They’ll be monitoring things pretty closely in order to make sure there are no exploits or cheating going on, so you know they’ll have eyes out for gold buying too.

Thankfully prices are holding steady right now. With all the anticipation I figured it would start getting ugly but it appears we have a little time before we need to start worrying. Toonstorm is holding steady at $19.48 for 5000 gold, which beats the overall average I’ve found. Plus, it’s delivery in under 30 minutes which is really hard to beat.

Just keep an eye on the prices at your favorite sites. I will be, that’s for sure. I may even make a buy next time. I have some buffing to do and I just don’t want to wait.

So, that whole thing I said about Blizzard being completely spent as far as updates go? Yeah, they appear to want to make a liar out of me. If you haven’t found out about it yet, you need to get out from under that rock, reactivate your account, and buy wow gold so you’re ready to take it on.

The premise is a good one. It seems that part of what’s been holding the Scourge at bay over the last ten thousand years has been an alliance formed by the five dragonflights that live in Azeroth. This alliance, the Wyrmrest Accord, ensures that each of the major flights is ready to preserve all life on Azeroth and combat the Sourge at every turn.

The whole thing has been spearheaded by the red dragons in Wyrmrest Temple and the Ruby Sanctum. There has been some strife among the flights as time has marched on, however. The black dragons were found to be harboring twilight dragon eggs (Deathwing’s creations, bad mojo all around) and no one was too pleased about this corruption in the midst of their war against the Scourge. The reds were too busy with the Scourge and the blue dragons at the time to deal with it, so they “accidentally” mentioned it, through various channels, to the Council of Six. This led to a nice big raid and some human heroes destroyed the eggs and defeated Sartharion in the Obsidian Sanctum. No one made much of a fuss over this, and the black’s complaints fell on deaf ears.

Fast forward to present time. Now, the halls of the Ruby Sanctum stand silent. No word has been heard from them in some time, and people are starting to get worried. No one can seem to get in touch with the red’s, and there really doesn’t seem to be anyone there to answer the call anyway. And just to heap it on, there’s a clutch of red eggs in that sanctum! Basically, if something isn’t done the best stronghold in all of Northrend will be lost to the Scourge if no one goes in and braves the dangers.

Enter us.

I’ve been checking the whole thing out, and it’s been a blast. I’m all about new areas, especially when they come with a great story, or at least great loot.

If I were you, I’d buy wow gold ASAP and get in there.

Good news in gold buying land

Posted in: General WoW Updates by wowusgold on May 06, 2010

Hey everybody out there!

I hope the newest patch has been keeping you all thoroughly entertained. I haven’t been able to jump into it just yet, but I plan on it as soon as possible. These last couple of levels just take forever.

Turns out those guys at Blizzard had one last little trick to throw our direction. They’ve managed to create a duplicate world, minus the instance portals, for the purpose of holding a massive tournament. And when I say massive I really mean it. This thing will start on the regional level where they’ll be holding 3v3 battles with a first place prize of $15,000! If you’re looking to buy wow gold, that’ll cover you for a good long while.

Next they move the whole thing on to the global level. It’s the same format, but you’re playing against the best players from around the world. But if you can come out on top, it’s $75,000 to you and your team.

Don’t worry about being outclassed by anyone either. In-game characters don’t matter at all. They give you a level 80 character and as much cash as you need to buy all of the gear you could possibly want. Running low? Grab some more! You can even get things like honor trinkets and epic drop items to load yourself down with.

The good news is, none of this should affect pricing in the least. This is one of those updates that lets the gold buying industry settle down a little. No new stuff that causes runs on gold means that supply can start to rebuild.

The bad news is the last few patches have really done a number on the existing supply. Prices have gone up just a little bit as a result. Toonstorm.com hasn’t been affected as badly as others, thankfully. They’re only up about a buck and a half to 7.99 for 1000 gold, which, compared to other sites, is really good.

This is going to allow us some time to get our feet back under us. Hopefully things will settle down even more so that prices can stabilize and it becomes a matter of one site undercutting another.

Anyway, that’s all folks!

News flash! Now get out there and buy!

Hope things have been keeping everyone out there nice and busy. I couldn’t help but notice that Blizzard has been moving things along nicely lately. These guys just don’t take days off from what I can tell.

What I’m talking about some of you have probably already been playing with for the last couple of weeks. The 3.3.3 patch went live on March 23rd and has brought a lot of new fun stuff for us to play with.

The major feature that was added doesn’t affect everyone just yet. At least, not until you hit 80. As is expected since they’ve kinda come to the end of what WotLK has to offer, they’re having to plug a few things in to keep people interested until Cataclysm drops. That means more toys for the 80′s out there, including this awesome new feature – Random Battlegrounds. It’s a PvP only sort of gig, but it adds a little extra challenge for anyone who’s gotten bored with the same old, same old fights. The idea is remarkably simple – you queue up for a Random BG, which means you have no time to prepare or any idea what to expect when you get there. It should add a little extra challenge because everyone knows the best strategies for the existing maps, and can usually coordinate before going in. This tosses that in favor of your ability to improvise based on whatever the server gives you.

They also took a step that I wish they had earlier. They increased the range of most buffs (excluding the really good ones like pallys) from 45 yards to 100. this is a major plus for groups that tend to get split up (I’m thinking Leroy Jenkins here).

This is another one of those times where I can see tons of Chinese gold farmers coming out of the woodwork. It seems to happen every single time a patch drops. It’s about ten times worse after an expansion hits the shelves, so I’m grateful for that. It makes it easier to sort them out.

Sometimes it’s hard to tell where these guys are from, so I figure I’ll stick with my old favorites like Toonstorm. It’s just way safer to buy wow gold from those you know during patch time.

Take it easy and stay safe out there. Things will hopefully settle down a little over the next couple of months while the guys at Blizzard are working on Cataclysm.

Review: WOTLK Collector’s Edition

Posted in: General WoW Updates by wowusgold on December 28, 2008

Hi everyone,

It’s been a busy, busy holiday for me, and I haven’t gotten in as much gaming as usual. Not that I’m complaining, of course! Anyway this week since I’m behind on reviews and whatnot I wanted to give you a look at the Wrath of the Lich King Collector’s Edition.

I was curious myself as to what such a thing might have to offer that would be worth paying more for, so I did a little research. Amazon has the collector’s edition listed at $99.98, while the regular version costs just $39.99. So what accounts for the huge difference? From Amazon’s description:

“– The Art of World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, a 208-page book featuring never-before-seen images from the game. [This could be neat, I must admit, if it has concept sketches and things like that.]

- An exclusive in-game pet: Frosty, the baby frost wyrm. [A little frivolous and silly if you ask me]

– A behind-the-scenes DVD containing over an hour of developer interviews, the Wrath of the Lich King intro cinematic with director’s commentary, and more. [cool if you're interested in how it was made]

– The official soundtrack CD, containing 21 epic tracks from the game, along with exclusive bonus tracks.  [Come on. You're really going to listen to this stuff on your ipod when you're not playing?]

– A mouse pad featuring a map of the newly opened continent of Northrend. [Drooool...]

– Two World of Warcraft Trading Card Game March of the Legion starter decks, along with two exclusive cards available only in the Collector’s Edition.” [I don't play the card game but I guess if you did, this might be a worthwhile perk.]

So, let’s see… I would say that possibly 20-30% of those extras would be worth paying for, MAYBE. But I guess if it’s a gift for the WoW lover in your life, or if you just have a lot of disposable income, there are a couple fun things in this collector’s edition. Me, I’ll save my money for buying WoW gold :P

Buy USA WoW Gold: WoWTlK Sets Record!

Posted in: General WoW Updates by wowusgold on November 25, 2008

Thats right, you know your hooked. Your friends are hooked, maybe your grandma is hooked. The world has crowned a new champion in the mmorpg world and it is World Of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King. I found an AWESOME article today. In this link Yahoo Games reports that WOWTLK sold over 2.8 million copies in its first 24 hours of availability making it the fastest selling PC game in history. That is a record that was previously held by WoW Burning Crusade. Just think, that is 3 million more people looking to buy WoW gold, yay my blog is going to take over the world :D

World of Warcraft is still the top dog when it comes to PC gaming. Many games like Age of Conan and Warhammer have tried to knock blizzard off of its pedestal, but none have succeeded.

Im still planning to do another review this weekend. Until then, have a happy turkey day, and save some for me!

Buy Usa WoW Gold: WoWTlK Has Me Hooked!

Hey everyone :D

Found some pretty cool videos this week put out by WoW for Lich King. Really funny. The above is obviously ozzy; and the below is obviously a play on the Soprano’S Series.

Overall the game is pretty amazing; I think they’ve all but destroyed any competition now – Warhammer, which I had started playing, is all but a fading memory at this point.

I’m going to really go out on a limb this weekend and pickup 20,000 wow gold. There’s just too much stuff I want to buy atm to not go for a big order and pickup a nice little discount on it. That review should come before the weekend. Lots to do still until T-day but then I’ll have most of the weekend to play and I’ll get a good review written up here.

Until there thanks for reading and happy holidays :D
