Good news in gold buying land
Posted in: General WoW Updates by wowusgold on May 06, 2010
Hey everybody out there!
I hope the newest patch has been keeping you all thoroughly entertained. I haven’t been able to jump into it just yet, but I plan on it as soon as possible. These last couple of levels just take forever.
Turns out those guys at Blizzard had one last little trick to throw our direction. They’ve managed to create a duplicate world, minus the instance portals, for the purpose of holding a massive tournament. And when I say massive I really mean it. This thing will start on the regional level where they’ll be holding 3v3 battles with a first place prize of $15,000! If you’re looking to buy wow gold, that’ll cover you for a good long while.
Next they move the whole thing on to the global level. It’s the same format, but you’re playing against the best players from around the world. But if you can come out on top, it’s $75,000 to you and your team.
Don’t worry about being outclassed by anyone either. In-game characters don’t matter at all. They give you a level 80 character and as much cash as you need to buy all of the gear you could possibly want. Running low? Grab some more! You can even get things like honor trinkets and epic drop items to load yourself down with.
The good news is, none of this should affect pricing in the least. This is one of those updates that lets the gold buying industry settle down a little. No new stuff that causes runs on gold means that supply can start to rebuild.
The bad news is the last few patches have really done a number on the existing supply. Prices have gone up just a little bit as a result. Toonstorm.com hasn’t been affected as badly as others, thankfully. They’re only up about a buck and a half to 7.99 for 1000 gold, which, compared to other sites, is really good.
This is going to allow us some time to get our feet back under us. Hopefully things will settle down even more so that prices can stabilize and it becomes a matter of one site undercutting another.
Anyway, that’s all folks!
